Scot G. Pringle, M.D., founded OB-GYN Specialists in 1996.  He grew up in West Kansas and has lived and practiced medicine in Cape Girardeau, Missouri since 1981.  He moved here following completion, in 1981, of his internship and residency at Michigan State University in affiliation with E. W. Sparrow Hospital in Lansing.  He acquired his M.D. from the University of Kansas Medical School in 1977.  Prior to that he earned a Bachelor of Science in 1974 from Baylor University, which is where he met his Texas-born wife, Tyronza.  They have two children.

Dr. Pringle says he was drawn to this area of expertise because, "I like doing primary care, surgery and obstetrics, and this combined all three; plus I enjoy the personal contact with patients.  Some of my patients have been coming to me for twenty-five years."

Dr. Pringle is a Fellow with the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology, a member of the American Medical Association, the Missouri State Medical Association, the Cape Girardeau County Area Medical Society, the Christian Medical & Dental Society, and is a former Chief of Staff for Southeast Missouri Hospital.
